Summary 

Even in the most arduous periods of the development of Georgia the problem of economic security was never so urgent as at present. On this most difficult stage of Georgian history the provision of economical security is not first-priority among its target goalposts. Economical safety is the decisive condition of national safety as the condition of realization of national interests. It plays the greatest role in economical order establishment, in stability and in civil society formationin in the country. Depletion of State control to this problem stipulates many negative tendencies, breaks country’s economical potential, its culture and threatens the statehood.

The ecuteness of the problem of economical security in Post-Soviet Georgia is, in the first place, conditioned by inadequate economical policy. In spite that as differing from the wrecking processes in the 90ies of the past century, in the subsequent period some positive steps were made with the view of development of market relations, today the social-economic state of the country is yet very grave, the process of economy transformation proceeds in a very complicated and conflicting way; reformation of economy took deformed character, virtual economy has been formed.

The work elucidates indicators of social orientation of economy and their role in provision of economical security, analyses the causes of generation of bitter social background in Georgia and the ways out of deep economical crisis.
